Bum Marketing is a marketing method that allows you to market affiliate products on the internet using articles to position yourself on the first page of Search Engines without spending money on advertisements.

How Does Bum Marketing Actually Work?

1. Selecting a Niche

Bum Marketing is about being present when people who want a certain product are looking for that product. The best way to find a low competition niche is to look for people of a large group who have a specific need that you can help them solve.

2. Selecting the product to market to that niche

You are looking at a solution for the problems you identified for your niche. Look at the affiliate page to make sure that you feel compelled to purchase because if you don’t, your prospect won’t either.

3. Developing Niche Keywords using Long Tail Keywords

Before you begin your marketing effort, spend the time to develop few related keywords for your niche. Your Niche keywords are the words or phrases someone in the general group you are targeting will type in a search engine to look for solutions to the problem you identified.

4. Writing Articles

Write articles around your keywords. It is recommended to include your keywords in your title. Articles that contain tips, how to information and FAQ are very popular. Use words such as “how to”, “how can”, “how do”, “review” with your keywords to come up with great titles.

5. Submitting Articles to High Ranking Articles Directories

Bum marketing is finding out what websites are favored by Search Engines and submitting articles and ads through them, usually for free. For example, Google likes Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, & Searchwarp for articles, UsFreeAds for classified ad, Wordpress.com and Squidoo.com for blogs.

6. Persistence and Consistency

Consistency is the key! Bum Marketing may not cost you any money up front, it certainly is not free; you must invest your time. Fortunately this is something you have, right? Make a commitment to submit at least one article everyday and it won’t be long till you can see serious results. ka-Ching, kaChing, Ka-Ching!; that’s the sound of money in the bank!
