What is Attraction Marketing Anyway?

This expression is now populating the internet, and whether online of offline, the buzz word seems to be attraction marketing. Yet, for many, the question remains; What is attraction marketing anyway?
I like to make a joke saying attraction marketing is the art of marketing attractively. There is great truth in that joke.
In order to define attraction marketing, we need to examine each word separately.
What is marketing; in it simplest form, it is anything you can do to make people aware of what you are offering. When you are offering a product or service, your ultimate goal is to have people purchase.
When they are in from of you, physically or on your website, you can sell to them and help them made the decision to purchase. But before they can be in front of you discussing the possibility of buying, they need to be aware of the offer. What you do to take them to that place of awareness is marketing.
What Is Attraction Marketing Anyway?
Now what is attraction; in its most common use, it is what a man and a woman feel for each other when they want to be intimate. But of course, it is also what you feel for that car in the dealership parking, that dress in store window, that dog you can’t forget.
We experience attraction in many forms every single day. What most people are not able to do though, is tell you why they are attracted to someone or something. However, you don’t need to know why in order to feel the attraction.
Attraction marketing then could be defined as presenting the information regarding your offer in a way that is attractive to the potential buyer.
However, the emphasis from he so called expert is on making yourself, the presenter, attractive to the potential client, so that they will buy from you when they need what you are offering.
The challenge then becomes how do you become an attractive marketer? We will explore this question in depth in our next post.
