Vicky looked at her phone and the sheet of paper she was holding in her hand. “Who do I call next?” She wondered. She had made her list of 100 names and gone through very quickly. Unfortunately, it seems that the big business builder was not on that list, or didn’t think he or she was, because Vicky didn’t get any breakthrough with any of them.
Network Marketing is supposed to be you marketing to your network, and yet many Networkers, such as Vicky, run out of their list very fast. The frightening question then is if your network is your net worth, how much are you worth?
Before you panic and say in that case Network Marketing is not for you, let’s revisit an obvious truth that networkers tend to forget; you can build your network. In fact, Network Marketing is about building a network, then marketing to that group.
If Your Network is Your Net Worth, How Much Are You Worth?
Here are some of the steps you can take immediately to start building your network.
- 1. Define what it means to have someone in your network; everybody you meet is not part of your network, they are still strangers until there is a relationship between the two of you.
- Determine who you want in your network; you are not out here to build a relationship with everybody you meet, and you should probably steer clear of some people.
- Create (or find one and copy) a system to build relationships. This could be a simple as sending out card or finding affinities.
- Be patient and have a genuine interest in them; the more their trust you, the more they will introduce you to their network. Now since you are smart, you can see where this is going.
- Reap the reward, introduce them to your business, and not only them but their whole Network.
- Continue building the relationship with that Network.
Yes, building your Network takes time and is a very slow process for the average Networker. However, great wealth has never been amassed overnight. It takes time to build anything of value. And if you are patient, committed and persistent, soon your net worth will match the new size of your network.
